2009: looking back

I started this site in March of this year on a whim.  It’s exceeded my expectations in almost every way, and not just when I look at the site stats.  A podcast wasn’t even a thought in March, and we’re on Episode 20.  Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought I’d be hosting a podcast, but it sure has been a blast.

The people I’ve had the great pleasure of getting to know are nothing short of awe inspiring.  Looking back on 2009, the top 5 most viewed articles for Evadot  are:

5 – Spaceflight, now with more cleavage – Seems interesting that the first article ended up number 5 for the whole year.  Maybe it’s because we talk about boobs…

4- Postcast #18 –Dark matter astronaut cosmology data rituals, er, something like that – Who doesn’t love Dr Clark?

3- I should be more excited than I am – Legos, yummy

2- Mind the gap – This one surprised me in the stats department.  I wish I had written it on the Subway in London though

1- The kids aren’t interested and it’s your cultures fault – I got two kinds of email for this one: “We need to fix this” and “You’re the biggest idiot on planet Earth”.  Oops, did I strike a nerve?  Nah, I wouldn’t dream of doing something like that

I expect great things in 2010, and I hope you do too.

Thanks from the bottom of my heart for all of the support.  Now go spend some time with your family.

Go on, shoo, get out of here.
