Today I had the pleasure of speaking with Dr. Lucy Rogers (@drlucyrogers on twitter), author of a great book called "It's Only Rocket Science: An Introduction in Plain English". Lucy is an engineer, astronomer, author, and all around cool lady. I love this quote from her website:
I write scientific stuff in plain English. I hope to infiltrate the public’s consciousness by this devious and underhand method and make science fun for everyone. I also write non-scientific stuff - sometimes in plain English.
I read a ton of books, and can recommend this book for anyone who would like to get a great overview of what it takes to get into and stay in space. You can get it on Amazon here (there's a kindle version too).
